Applications for the much coveted University of the Philippines College Admission Test, popularly known as UPCAT, end today for high school students enrolled in schools outside Metro Manila. The deadline of submission for Metro Manila schools was on June 17, 2011.
Every year, around 60,000 high school students take the UPCAT but only few thousands are being admitted to the premiere university and the only national university in the Philippines. Nine years ago, I was one of more than 9,000 students who passed UPCAT. I graduated in 2006 and I am proud of being an alumnus of UP.
