Another college faces closure order of its 6 courses from CHED

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) orders the closure of six (6) courses of Harvardian College in San Fernando City, Pampanga on Tuesday, October 25 for ''gross and serious violations and continuous defiance of the Commission's policies, standards, and guidelines,'' according to CHED Executive Director lawyer Julito Vitriolo.


Through Resolution No. 229-2011, the Commission ordered the closure of the following courses offered by Harvardian College: (1) Bachelor of Science in Education; (2) Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education; (3) Bachelor of Arts Political Science; (4) Bachelor of Arts English; (5) Bachelor of Science in Commerce Accounting, Management, Finance; and (5) Master of Education-Administration, Supervision, Guidance and Counseling.

Just last week, two courses of Philippine Maritime Institute (PMI) Colleges located in Metro Manila were closed by CHED.
